Paranet Expands Security Solutions Suite

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Paranet Solutions, a global provider of Data Center, Network Infrastructure and Enterprise Services and Solutions, has expanded its Security Solutions Suite to include VoIP Security Services.

Through their new VoIP security solution, Paranet will be able to identify and prevent a wide range of security breaches such as Illegal Reconnaissance, Malicious Service Disruption, Eavesdropping, Message Manipulation, Services Theft, VoIP Spam, VoIP-to-Data-Exploits and Quality Degradation.

“Companies are carrying business critical data across VoIP networks that are interfacing with other Voice VLANs, Data VLANs, Wireless LANs, Trunking gateways and the public Internet,” said EVP of Business Development for Paranet, Monty Cook who also pointed out the latest attacks including Number Harvesting, Eavesdropping, Call Walking, and Identity theft.

Emphasizing the need for a rigid security program for companies that are using VoIP telephony, Tom Kearns, principal, Risk Management and Security for Paranet explained that managers must ensure their organization is protected against all the VoIP vulnerabilities that exist now and in the future and must analyze their security readiness on an ongoing basis.

Paranet, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, performs a complete vulnerability analysis, risk assessment and penetration test for their clients. Their expanded Security Solutions Suite includes services to discover the VoIP assets, test the infrastructure and devices themselves and ensure that they are protected from VoIP/Unified Communications (News - Alert)-related threats.

Managed Security Services are designed to improve business continuity, compliance and protect from business, brand and financial loss. The company is allowing their customers to choose the platforms they require in addition to the service level required, whether it is fully managed, monitored or self-service.
