Reducing the risk of exposing sensitive credit card payments, ProPay has announced that it has implemented an end-to-end data security solution over the past several months. ProPay believes that this new facility can save thousands of dollars for the companies in form of fees and fines for payment card breaches.
Credit card fraud is constantly on the rise. Recently, a Miami resident was charged with stealing 130 million credit and debit card numbers. This is said to be the largest data breach ever in the United States. The hackers used a sophisticated hacking technique called an 'SQL injection attack' for stealing card information.
According to ProPay, the company eliminates existing sensitive data from a merchant. It then provides a way of accepting and processing payments that don’t require a merchant to store, transmit, or process sensitive payment data. ProPay’s products and services safely capture the data and protect it throughout processing, transmission and storage, claims the company.
“ProPay believes End-to-End is much more than just encryption – it’s a full strategy that comprises security, compliance, storage, and single-vendor partnerships, to fit every organization’s individual needs,” said Gary Goodrich, CEO of ProPay, in a release. “ProPay provides an End-to-End solution that we believe is unique in its ability to secure sensitive data by entirely removing it, while still enabling the merchant to perform their necessary business functions with the customer information.”
Instead of dealing with the evolving security standards and then hope that they are not breached, ProPay simply alleviates most of the merchant’s PCI validation requirements. The company also ensures that sensitive data is archived and stored in a secure environment and has more than a decade of experience providing simple, safe and affordable merchant payment solutions to its customers.
The company recently unveiled ProtectPay, a fully encrypted payment card processing, transmission, and repository service. With ProtectPay, merchants can get a total end-to-end secure option for processing credit card payments in real time and/or the secure storage and use of encrypted credit card data for future transactions, including repeat billing.
