Force10 Networks has extended its partnership with
StillSecure, a provider of secure network infrastructure solutions. The alliance enables 802.1 x-based network access controls on all Force10 Ethernet switches.
Customers no longer see security as an add on and expect the network to have the inherent capability to protect itself. The officials say that both companies have come together to merge security with the network, embedding protection from a full range of threats into the IT infrastructure.
Both companies are prepared for full integration, said Rick Cantu, CEO at Redapt Systems. He noted that this partnership will address the needs of his customers who want high performance and fully integrated best-of-breed solutions.
“This partnership is a win-win for customers and partners alike - customers implement a proven bundle while I grow my business faster by saving time and money.”

Safe Access’ user interface allows administrators to easily configure and deploy 802.1x-based NAC, a secure method of enforcement because access is controlled by the switch. The officials also note Force10 Networks’ (

The combined solution resulting from this partnership will help organizations build a more reliable network that is protected from threats associated with today’s advanced forms of communication. The resulting scalable, reliable, application aware network will help organizations control who is on the network and what resources they can access.
“Leveraging Force10’s FTOS operating system and physical switch port security with StillSecure NAC technology provides a complete and robust solution for enterprise customers,” said Steve Garrison, vice president of marketing at Force10.
Chief Strategy Officer at StillSecure, Alan Shimel said that they are excited to take their partnership to the next level, and bring the joint solution to channel partners and customers who are looking to build a secure network infrastructure.
