Virtual private network and security solutions provider SonicWALL (News - Alert) Inc. announced today that its Unified Threat Management and IPSec VPN solutions are now certified compliant with select IP communications products from Avaya (News - Alert) including Avaya Aura Communication Manager Branch 2.0; Avaya Aura Communication Manager 5.2 with Avaya Aura SIP Enablement Services 5.2; and Avaya IP Telephony Infrastructure using Avaya IP Office 4.2 in a converged VoIP and data network.

SonicWALL's TZ, Network Security Appliance and E-Class NSA series product lines integrate firewall, UTM, wireless and VPN technology to deliver comprehensive protection and maximum performance to customer networks.

One of the companies benefiting from the interoperability of SonicWALL and Avaya solutions is Office Solutions, a business that specializes in designing and implementing converged voice and data solutions.

As such it is eligible to submit products the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. for compatibility testing. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is compliant with Avaya established standards.
