ManageEngine, a division of ZOHO Corporation and a provider of network, systems, applications and security management software solutions, has reportedly launched the updated version 9 of its data center management and application performance monitoring software - ManageEngine (News - Alert) Applications Manager.

According to a company pres release, ManageEngine Applications Manager is a complete infrastructure monitoring and data center management suite, covering infrastructure performance management, end-user experience monitoring and application performance troubleshooting. It is also said to provide an integrated platform to monitor application servers, databases, web services, sites and applications, middleware, portals and SAP applications.

The new version, as stated by the company, features new Oracle (News - Alert) E-Business Suite Monitoring and AS 400/iSeries Monitoring, thereby delivering better visibility into the data center and more comprehensive infrastructure management.

"With its root cause analysis capability ManageEngine Applications Manager is a proven troubleshooting asset to Data Center Managers and Application Administrators," said Gibu Kurian, product manager, ManageEngine, in the release.

"The support for a heterogeneous application infrastructure helps identify and manage myriad issues quickly. Additionally the graphical views for visualizing web transactions end-to-end, with performance metrics of all components, from URLs to SQL queries, saves precious time for the applications team," added Kurian.

ManageEngine Applications Manager is used for monitoring the performance and availability of the applications, as well as associated hardware and software, including servers, databases, web services and middleware. This software is also capable of offering customizable management dashboards and Business Service Management views, indicating the support of applications for specific business requirement.

The new version comes with added capabilities for monitoring Oracle E-Business software and the IBM (News - Alert) AS 400/iSeries along with the existing support for monitoring SAP, Microsoft SharePoint, WebSphere MQ, Sybase servers and more.

Reportedly, ManageEngine Applications Manager supports a variety of IT environments with the ability to monitor most application servers, protocols and standards. It also includes a hosted end-user experience management service and a Load Testing Tool.

Customers can now download ManageEngine Applications Manager 9 directly from the company’s website for a starting price of $795 for 25 applications or servers. The company has also announced a 30-day free evaluation, with full functionality.
