Westcon Group Inc., a distributor of networking, convergence, security and mobility solutions has announced it will distribute LogLogic’s log management appliances and security applications to customers across the U.S, Canada and Mexico.

LogLogic’s solutions are compatible with several of Westcon Group’s other vendor solutions like that of Cisco (News - Alert), Avaya, Nortel, Microsoft and Polycom, among others. It provides a completely searchable, appliance-based platform for collecting, storing, reporting and alerting user access while also optimizing server uptime and meeting compliance regulations.

“LogLogic’s solutions can play a very important role in helping businesses gain transparency into their network operations while ensuring they meet compliance requirements,” said Anthony Daley (News - Alert), executive vice president, The Americas, Westcon Group.

“These solutions are a perfect add on solution for our resellers, since log management is the basis for understanding network activity. There are many additional applications and solutions that our customers can add on as a result of this knowledge,” Daley said.

The agreement between Westcon and LogLogic enables Westcon customers to offer pre-packaged compliance suites with out-of-the box reports and alerts for PCI (News - Alert), Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, ISO, ITIL, FISMA and NERC. Company sources also said that compliance and business processes can be rapidly transformed from log data into intelligence.

Along with Westcon, LogLogic will identify, recruit, train and partner an elite group of focused network security or compliance specialized VARs in North America.
