KDDI America Inc., a provider of International telecommunications services, has announced the launch of new service – “Total Managed Security Router” that provides customers with managed network, router and switching services to help reduce cost and increase efficiency for enterprises of all sizes.

The company’s new managed routing and switching services leverages Juniper Networks’ SRX series services gateways. With the help of these gateways, the company is now capable of delivering wide area network, or “WAN,” connectivity, infrastructure security, as well as on-site Ethernet networks that simplify network operations and reduce maintenance costs. The router features centralized monitoring and log management to secure controlled networks.

Moreover, the new Total Managed Security Router facilitates customers to procure as well as maintain their network infrastructure environment, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, from a single point of contact. This facilitates customers to focus on their business more while leaving the technology details to the company.

Officials with KDDI America said that it offers customers with a multifaceted network solution by providing data network services, such as worldwide and nationwide Ethernet, IP-VPN, private lines, data centers, dedicated Internet access and system integration, in addition to managed network solutions.

In the release, Hokuto Sanematsu, director of network engineering, KDDI America, said, that Juniper Networks SRX Series fulfills KDDI customers' connectivity and networking requirements, while providing enhanced integrated security such as multi-function integration and centralized network monitoring.

“Offering compatibility, standardization and cost effectiveness for hardware support and maintenance are the primary reasons KDDI America chose Juniper Networks, whose name is synonymous with simplicity, reliability and state-of-the-art performance,” Sanematsu added.

Capable of meeting the network requirements for enterprises of all sizes, the Total Managed Security Router service benefits small and mid-size enterprises specially – by outsourcing the installation, maintenance and monitoring of their entire network infrastructure at a cost savings.

Even, mid-size and large enterprises can leverage this new service to reduce overall network maintenance costs, while enhancing the network's accessibility, performance and security, said officials.

“KDDI America's Total Managed Security Router service gives customers the help they need to cope with infrastructure complexity, demanding compliance requirements, and scarce IT resources so they can focus resources and energy on their core mission,” Scott Lucas, director of product marketing, Juniper Networks, said.
