Officials with Lenovo Security said that the company’s KingGuard family of security gateways is highly scalable to deliver performance ranging from 1 Gbps to 20 Gbps, and is targeted at protecting mission-critical telecommunications, enterprise, financial and university networks from the growing threats of web attacks and vulnerabilities.

Alert) XLR732 multi-core, multi-threaded processors, while the KingGuard 5000 platform utilizes the XLS416 processor.
NetLogic officials claimed that standardizing on the company’s best-in-class multi-core processors across the entire KingGuard security gateway family has enabled Lenovo Security to develop and deliver a scalable family of products across multiple performance and price points on a common hardware and software architecture.
“We view NetLogic Microsystems as a very important long-term strategic technology partner of Lenovo Security,” Keqian Liu, president and CEO of Lenovo Security Technologies, said in a statement.
Liu said that the company has been very impressed with the performance of NetLogic Microsystems’ multi-core and multi-threaded processors, which have provided the company with the superior performance and compelling feature-set advantages for the award-winning KingGuard security gateways.
“We are very pleased to have Lenovo Security standardizing the entire KingGuard family of high-performance security appliances on our XLR and XLS multi-core, multi-threaded processors,” Sunny Siu, president and general manager of Asia-Pacific operations at NetLogic Microsystems, said.
