Privacy Data Systems, a developer of military-grade privacy software and the founding organization of The Smiles Over Miles program, announced a National Call to Action for reuniting military with loved ones through private video, voicemail or email from anywhere in the world. In collaboration with USO Chartered Centers across North Carolina, Illinois, Missouri, and Metropolitan Washington D.C., Privacy Data Systems plans to distribute 60,000 Smiles Over Miles accounts to service members for 30 days.

The Smiles Over Miles '21st Century Connect Card' is a customized version of Privacy Data Systems' ePackage product combining the strongest form of encryption that is available with easy features to allow sending and receiving of messages simple. Service members will be able to obtain their Smiles Over Miles accounts through participating USO Chartered Centers and at the same time gain instant access to a secure communications platform for exchanging secure video, audio and email messages using a regular web browser and webcam.

The Smiles Over Miles user experience is further enhanced by the recent technology updates. Military service members and loved ones will now be able to send and receive unlimited eVideo, voicemail and email messages for a period of one year using a Smiles Over Miles account. Service members will also be able to share their private link to a secure video page with family and friends through social media outlets like Facebook (News - Alert) for facilitating ongoing communication.

In a release, Ray Blackburn, director of Client Support at Privacy Data Systems said, "We can now reach more than 1,200,000 military members served by our expanded network of USO Chartered Centers across the country. As America's military fulfill their mission to protect our country and our freedoms, we set out on our own mission to ensure that these heroes and their families have the ability and opportunity to stay connected anywhere in the world."

Smiles Over Miles is a joint venture between USO Chartered Centers and Privacy Data Systems, in order to bringing deployed military service members and loved ones together across any distance. Free account cards are available to military service members in USO centers located in North Carolina, Illinois, Missouri and metropolitan Washington D.C.
