SIP Trunking: Cypress Communications Nets Award for UC Solution

Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC (News - Alert)) has awarded Cypress Communications’ hosted unified communications solution, C4 IP, as a recipient of its 2010 Unified Communications Excellence Award.

This will be quite an achievement for Cypress – it is their 31st award in a row.

C4 IP, the winning solution, is a hosted unified communications option empowering small-to-medium enterprises to communicate more effectively. It offers voice and data services as well as collaborative tools enabling Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook, unified messaging and others.

So what does this award have to do with SIP Trunking?

According to TMC's group editorial leader, Erik Linask, the answer is everything. “SIP Trunking and Unified Communications (News - Alert) are often discussed in separate conversations but, the simple fact is that the former is a key component in many implementations of the latter. This means, of course, an opportunity for vendors of those particular technologies to collaborate to grow their businesses.”

As the old saying goes, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Any successes in the SIP Trunking and Unified Communications industries are shared. And the notoriety is certainly appreciated.
