Network Equipment Technologies Launches Global Support Services for Large Deployments of Microsoft Lync

Network Equipment Technologies (News - Alert) (NET), a provider of enterprise-class networking solutions for secure communications in unified communications (UC), SIP Trunking and enterprise mobility, announced that it provides global services in support of large enterprise deployments of Microsoft Lync.


Leveraging the new NET (News - Alert) global support offering, customers will have access to global support services via a single contact point.  

Network Equipment Technologies is offering the centralized global support hub on request 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through a Web-based platform. NET expert consultants around the world will process all customer support enquiries centrally.   

“We believe that NET's support model provides enterprises with unmatched flexibility, performance and return on investment in supporting diverse enterprise requirements, backed by our commitment to go the extra mile for every customer,” said Thaison Chu, vice president of Global Service, in a statement

“For over two decades, NET provided 24x7x365 service worldwide -- always available to customers that rely on us to protect their networks,” Chu added.

The company also provides global support agreements and service level agreements (SLAs) in addition to streamlining and standardizing the support process.

NET provides its consultants with a valuable overview of deployments across a number of countries and provides its customers with more coordinated processing of customer requests, company officials said.

Recently, Network Equipment Technologies announced the launch of SmartSIP 2.0 for Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync Server 2010. The SmartSIP application is based on Microsoft UC Managed API (UCMA). It is designed to address the interoperability of legacy SIP endpoints and Microsoft UC.

SmartSIP 2.0 provides Lync voice interoperability for SIP devices, such as desktop phones, Wi-Fi devices, and cordless phones operating under the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications standard.
