TelOnline Helps Axesat S.A Implement IP Telephony Solution


An IP telephony solution with different services was needed by Axesat S.A to increase productivity and control of the company. TelOnline (News - Alert) Corp. has been awarded a contract by Axesat for the same. TelOnline will enhance the internal and external telephony communication system of Axesat.


A Switchvox (News - Alert) platform with 150 extension, 3 primary and contingency on servers has been included in the solutions implemented by TelOnline. The solutions also include telephony access to the administrative area, call center and remote offices along with an interactive voice response system. A friendly interface for both the end user and the administrator is offered by the Switchvox platform. A unified messaging system has also been included in the solution for Axesat. Mobility through smart phones like Blackberry, iPhone and Android is allowed by the system. The solutions also have a great cost/benefit relation as they have a high availability and support SIP devices, softphones and IP phones.

In a release, Rafael Molano, IT manager for Axesat said, “TelOnline is an authorized Digium partner in Colombia and they also have strategic alliances with various telecommunications sector allowing them to offer integrated solutions. TelOnline is backed up by a team with business experience, and technical support.”

According to Molano, implementing Switchvox has proved to be beneficial in many ways. The constant communication with the integration of the telephone system and the email system has been one of the important benefits. This is extremely important as the extensions in the organization are able to work with the PCs, laptops and smartphones. Connectivity at all times is therefore ensured.

Juan Carlos Castañeda, president of Axesat said, “Our goal is to provide Colombia and Latin America countries the opportunity to select the right products and solutions for their company, allowing them to choose their VoIP technology and apply it to help grow their business and get the highest return on investment. Axesat awarding this contract to TelOnline is well on its way to achieving that goal.”
