Today kicks off ITEXPO West in Austin, Texas and that means the news is buzzing with the latest and newest products in Internet telephony and technology.
Enterprise Session Border Control provider Ingate announced at ITEXPO (News - Alert) West today, the availability of its latest products, the SIParator 21 and Firewall 1210 for SMBs. These new enterprise session border controllers (E-SBCs) are geared for the SMBs and allow for up to 50 concurrent voice (or RTP) sessions, serving enterprises with up to 250 employees.
According to the release, both products feature four 10/100/1000 Mbit/s interfaces and use Compact Flash for storage. Activating the data Firewall, it has a throughput beyond 200 Mbit/s.
“These new products are designed to meet the needs of the SMB. SIP trunking, which reduces telephony costs significantly and often pays for itself in six months, is a compelling proposition for any business and for SMBs in particular,” said Steven Johnson, President, Ingate Systems. “Ingate’s E-SBCs enable the full breadth of Unified Communications (News - Alert) applications, offering businesses a significant competitive advantage.”
The new Ingate Firewalls and SIParators are available now.
Ingate was named one of the Top 20 Innovators of All Time and is the pioneer behind the world’s first SIP-capable firewalls and SIParators, the products that enable unified communications to occur over the Internet.
Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC (News - Alert), recently interviewed Steven Johnson (News - Alert) of Ingate about the SIP industry, current trends and UC market.
“The shaky economy continues to underscore the value of adopting SIP communications. At Ingate, we are seeing a spike in demand for SIP trunks, which offer a way to implement enterprise SIP (and ultimately UC) at an exceptional value,” said Johnson in the interview.
Ingate will offer a SIP Trunking Workshop at ITEXPO West starting today, Tuesday, September 13. This three-day educational seminar series provides in-depth information on the wide breadth of applications falling under the UC umbrella, including SIP trunking, realtime video, Fax-over-IP, mobility and more. Critical issues such as security will also be addressed.
