Edgewater Networks Announces Participation in Multiple Technology Events


Edgewater Networks (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise Session Border Controllers (SBCs), announced participation in several ongoing and upcoming technology events including ITEXPO 2011 and SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2011.


Dave Martin, vice president of Marketing for Edgewater Networks, is participating on the “Enterprise Session Border Controllers: Extending Beyond Interoperability” panel at ITEXPO (News - Alert) 2011 being held at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX, September 13-15, 2011.

The panel explores the latest trends in enterprise session border controllers and how they can be used to simplify the adoption of SIP, SIP Trunking and hosted PBX (News - Alert) in the enterprise.

Douglas Wadkins, chief technology officer for Edgewater Networks, will speak at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2011, November 15-17, 2011. Wadkins will present a technical paper on “SIP Trunking – Opportunities for Cable Business Services.” The presentation will review the business case for MSOs to deploy SIP Trunking, a background of how SIP Trunking works, and a three-step process for MSOs to install SIP Trunking.

Edgewater Networks is also a sponsor of the BroadSoft (News - Alert) Connections 2011 conference to be held at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, AZ, October 16-19, 2011, the company said. This event focuses on the delivery of real-time communications services such as voice, video and unified communications over broadband, IP-based networks. Edgewater Networks will also demonstrate its Enterprise Session Border Controller solutions at the conference.

Another event sponsored by Edgewater Networks is the Metaswitch Forum 2011 to be held at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV, October 3-6, 2011. Edgewater Networks will participate in the Expo Hall and demonstrate its Enterprise Session Border Controller solutions.

Edgewater Networks addresses the challenges in securing enterprise Unified Communications (News - Alert) including device and protocol interoperability, security and policy management, troubleshooting and QoS. Recently the company unveiled EdgeProtect Series Enterprise SBCs that connect remote employees to headquarters-based enterprise unified communications (UC) system.
