EtherSpeak Builds New Voice Communications Solution for ShoreTel SIP Trunking Solution

EtherSpeak, an IP communications provider, announced that it has developed a new secure and encrypted ShoreTel (News - Alert) SIP Trunking solution that is capable of offering greater security and privacy for users.

EtherSpeak explained that the new SIP trunking solution makes use of ADTRAN (News - Alert) NetVanta IP business gateways and helps one realize an unbroken normalized and secure pathway for ShoreTel SIP trunking for the end-users.

The NetVanta is an enterprise-class networking equipment designed to lower costs in a users’ network without compromising performance or reliability. The gateway utilizes SIP for VoIP applications, providing interoperability with softswitches and feature servers. It can convert IP signaling from the carrier into traditional TDM voice services as well as PSTN fed enterprises to IP and it is stated to be compatible with both T1 and E1 networks for deployment around the world.

EtherSpeak asserted that its encrypted SIP Trunking solution is fully compliant with Federal laws such as The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA), and even standards like the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI (News - Alert) DSS).

ShoreTel claimed that its resellers and partners work hard to make the most of its products, bringing its customers a comprehensive solution to their business communications needs. They will now be enjoying the cost effective benefits provided by a SIP-based Unified Communications (News - Alert) environment that ensures the security, privacy and confidentiality required.

Officials with EtherSpeak exclaimed that working with ADTRAN engineers they were able to craft an integrated solution which is easier to implement and maintain for ShoreTel customers needing an encrypted SIP connection. By connecting ShoreTel’s Unified Communications system to the NetVanta gateway through a PRI handoff, EtherSpeak provides a perfect solution for those seeking encrypted SIP.
