Rounding up the top SIP Trunking news for you from the past week, TMC reported that in order to obtain an SIP School Certified Associate students in The SIP School were required to get a SIP address with any free service.

Now The SIP School has sought the services of OnSIP as its SIP service provider enabling students to make use of the OnSIP API to get a SIP address on thesipschool.com domain.

According to OnSIP, the SSCA SIP training program is designed to suit anyone working with makers of IP PBX (News - Alert) and IP phone equipment, SIP security equipment manufacturers, SIP trunk service providers and carriers, network design specialists, sales and marketing personnel working with VoIP equipment and services.

The certification is recognized in the telecommunications world as the only certification on SIP to strive for global recognition. It is endorsed and supported by the Telecoms Industry Association as well as Bicsi and major manufacturers, service providers and carriers.

Also, TMC had the news that Motorola (News - Alert) Solutions, a provider of mission-critical communication products and services for enterprise and government customers, announced the launch of NX Integrated Services Platform that simplifies the deployment and management of branch office networking and communications for retailers.

The solution, which includes NX 4500 and NX 6500, eliminates the need for multiple networking appliances and application servers at the branch offices, thus helping reduce the burden on IT staff and improving customer experience.

The NX 4500 is designed for small-medium branch offices and the NX 6500 for medium-large branch offices. Both allow retailers to dramatically reduce telecommunications costs with SIP trunking while still leveraging existing phones and wiring.

And TMC noted that Tilgin (News - Alert), a provider of software-controlled home gateways and remote management solutions, has announced the release of the HGA2.2 software platform for home gateways. The HGA2.2 software platform for Home Gateways purportedly helps in improving business operations for customers.

In a release, Eric Hjelmestam VP of Solution Management and Marketing at Tilgin, said, “We have developed the HGA platform for the last 12 years, and are proud of the HGA2.2 release. We can with confidence say that we now have an even better business case for operators and service providers! This new platform offers them a unique opportunity to expand their offerings and optimize their operations.”

The HGA2.2 software platform for home gateways makes it possible for operators and service providers to create and introduce new services while also enhancing their operational costs.
