Positron Telecommunications Systems, a supplier of VoIP equipment for SMBs and enterprises, announced its G-Series IP PBX solutions have been certified by Edgewater Networks’ (News - Alert) SIP Trunking Interoperability Lab.
Edgewater Networks provides Enterprise Session Border Controllers (ESBCs). The Interoperability Lab is part of Edgewater Networks Plug & Dial Alliance program. It validates and documents the proper operation of PBX (News - Alert) systems with SIP trunking services using the EdgeMarc Enterprise Session Border Controller (ESBC).
The EdgeMarc ESBC is deployed at the customer's premises and is used to connect Positron's IP PBX system to SIP trunking services. The system is compatible with Edgewater Networks' EdgeView VoIP Support System, offering VoIP-aware security, quality of service (QoS) to ensure high quality voice calls and integrated call quality monitoring to simplify problem resolution.
"Positron Telecom submitted its IP PBX solutions for certification with Edgewater's ESBC as they have a significant market presence and strong reputation for quality within the industry," said Jeffrey Liberman, VP of Sales and Business Development for Positron Telecom, in a statement.
"By using Edgewater Networks' solution combined with Positron Telecom's IP PBX, our reseller partners will be better positioned to provide their small-to-medium business customers with a higher quality experience," Liberman added.
The integration between EdgeMarc ESBC with Positron Telecom's G-series IP PBX will give end users the ability to connect to a variety of SIP trunking service providers to obtain the lowest long-term investment available on the market.
Positron will also be able to expand its market to a growing number of carriers, MSOs and service providers that rely on Edgewater's SIP trunking lab certification to validate and maintain PBX interoperability.
"We're excited to add the Positron Telecom solution to the growing list of leading IP PBX systems certified by our SIP Trunking Interoperability Lab," said Dave G. Norman, chief executive officer of Edgewater Networks, in a statement.
"This certification combines the best-in-class communications platform feature set of the G-Series IP PBX with the increased interoperability, security and high quality of service enabled by the EdgeMarc," Norman added.
In a recent development in the industry, Birns Communications, a supplier and integrator of telecom equipment in the New York metro area, announced the launch of a cloud-based PBX VoIP for businesses.
