Ingate Software Firewall/SIParator Now Offered for Free for 30 Days

Ingate Systems (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise session border controllers (E-SBC) that enable SIP communications such as SIP trunking and unified communications beyond the protected enterprise network, is offering its new software-only E_SBC, the Ingate Software Firewall/SIParator, free for 30 days.

Ingate Systems is a Stockholm, Sweden-based high-tech company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets data communications products for trusted unified communications. Ingate designed the world’s first SIP-capable firewalls and SIParators, products that enable unified communications over the Internet.

The Software Firewall/SIParator is the software version of Ingate’s E-SBCs, the solution for enterprises that want to deploy Ingate products on their own hardware platforms. The software makes secure SIP-based communications including VoIP, SIP trunking and UC possible.

“The Ingate Software SIParator/Firewall provides a single-box solution for IP-PBX (News - Alert) vendors and the channel community, who can now deliver Ingate’s E-SBC functionality integrated with their own hardware solutions,” said Steve Johnson, president, Ingate Systems. “The industry is moving toward software-based offerings as a means of consolidating existing hardware or maintaining a single hardware platform. Models included in the software is the Software Firewall/SIParator 25/50, which is designed for smaller enterprises, branch offices and home workers; the Software Firewall/SIParator 150/400/1000, which represents the midrange Software Firewall/SIParators in the Ingate E-SBC product family; and the Software Firewall/SIParator 1800/3000/5000/10000, which is designed for large enterprises and is the largest in the Ingate line of SIP-capable products and can handle up to 10000 concurrent sessions.

Ingate’s modules and licenses gives customers the ability to purchase only the functionality and capacity that is required, and to add both functionality and capacity to the limits of the hardware as their use expands. Other software offered by Ingate includes QoS module, remote SIP connectivity module, SIP trunking module, SIP registrar module, VoIP survival module and Ingate SIP licenses.
