AudioCodes Mediant E-SBC Now Certified by AT&T for Use with Genesys Applications

VoIP technology enabler, AudioCodes, confirmed its achievement of an important certification milestone with AT&T and Genesys. The company’s Mediant Enterprise 3000 Session Border Controller (E-SBC) achieved certification with AT&T IP Flex Reach SIP Trunking for use with Genesys IP contact center applications.

This certification will reportedly help IT managers and network systems integrators easily migrate existing, or design new, cost-effective Genesys contact center solutions utilizing AT&T’s IP Flex Reach SIP Trunking services.

Enterprises and service providers are now realizing the need for enterprise-based SBCs to address personal security, mediation and SLA requirements. The Mediant Software E-SBC provides an open and flexible architecture for all enterprise deployments, acting as the demarcation point between the enterprise and SIP Trunking providers, an enterprise and a hosted Unified Communications (UC) service provider, or an enterprise and other organizations for direct VoIP calling.

“AudioCodes’ E-SBCs successfully demonstrated their ability to integrate two strategic technology partners that is expected to open new opportunities for Genesys, a leading contact center software platform, and AT&T, a leading provider of SIP Trunking services,” Sharone Ben-Levi, vice president marketing and business development, North America at AudioCodes, said in a statement.

Richard Barton, director of Product Management at Genesys Telecommunications, believes achieving certification by AT&T of IP Flex Reach with AudioCodes Mediant E-SBCs, along with Genesys, will make contact center customers more cost competitive, while maintaining the utmost reliability.

Testing for this certification was performed at the AudioCodes North American Interoperability Lab in Research Triangle Park, NC. In fact, the Interoperability Lab was constructed under the close guidance and recommendations by Genesys, hosting a fully operational Genesys SIP Server alongside various AudioCodes gateways and SBCs.

In another development, TMC announced that AudioCodes has signed on to become a Platinum Sponsor of ITEXPO Miami, taking place January 30-February 1, 2013, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida.

ITEXPO is the world's largest and best-attended communications and technology trade show.
