TMCnet SIP Trunking Week in Review

This week in SIP trunking news, the SIP forum announced that the Call for Presentations is now open for SIP Network Operators Conference (SIPNOC 2013). The third annual conference will be held in Herndon, VA, at the Hyatt Dulles Hotel from April 22-25.
The three day educational conference will focus on challenges and opportunities of global SIP-based carrier service and will include an array of attendees as well as topics that will be covered.
“SIPNOC 2013 attendees are to include telecommunications providers, major backbone operators, interconnect and wholesale providers, ISPs, cable operators, wireless network operators, and large enterprises undergoing major SIP initiatives,” according to Rory Lidstone, TMCnet contributing writer.
In other SIP news, UC solutions look to be the market future because of improved productivity, but pairing it with the proper SIP trunking service can maximize the deployment of the UC solutions. Voice over internet protocol is a key component in UC solutions, and SIP enables the connection between the two endpoints in the network. Also, choosing the proper company to deploy your UC solution is just as important as the proper Sip trunking service provider.
