Ingate Systems and eZuce Partnership to Enhance UC Security

Perhaps one of the biggest concerns for anyone looking to get into cloud-based communications, even SIP trunking, is security. That's one obstacle the recent alliance between Ingate Systems (News - Alert) and eZuce wants to overcome by bringing a new level of security to cloud-based communications on several fronts.

The partnership represents an impressive level of synergy, as Ingate Systems brings in a line of enterprise session border controllers (E-SBCs) to allow for cloud-based communications, from SIP trunking to unified communications (UC) tools, extending way beyond enterprise networks. On the other hand, eZuce offers UC cubed, a platform for bringing standards-based, open and social communications to the enterprise-level user. Part of that platform is the openUC and Unite systems, which both bring in a variety of communications tools ranging from voice and video chat services to messaging and collaborations tools, all from the cloud.

With these solutions in hand, companies can see a variety of benefits including reduced costs and the ability to fully optimize a mobile workforce. It also provides a better platform from which to take advantage of the various offerings that Web-based real-time communications (WebRTC) brings to the table.

A good start by almost any standard, the eZuce line of solutions only gets better when Ingate's E-SBC line comes into the picture. With the Ingate line, enterprise users get access to VoIP calling, SIP trunking, and the full array of UC tools from a highly secure environment. The Ingate SIParator model SBC for example, even offers the ability to work with most PBX (News - Alert) systems currently in play, as well as is interoperable with both WebRTC and Microsoft Lync.

Putting these two together in the same environment makes deployments much easier, while still making security a top priority. It also serves the added benefit of augmenting Ingate's offerings to add the features set available from eZuce's platform, providing a better value profile all around.

All of the offerings provided by both Ingate and eZuce offer a great deal of benefit for enterprise users. Improving communication and collaborative efforts have often produced new and innovative solutions to problems, in addition to opening up new and previously unexplored opportunities for growth. Getting in on a mobile workforce likewise allows companies to take advantage of talent in remote locations to provide valuable input to a business' operations, while enabling companies to take advantage of further beneficial trends like the bring your own device (BYOD) movement. The BYOD movement allows for both improvement in morale and reduced costs to companies, yet needs to be correctly managed to derive the most benefits.

The rise of WebRTC, increasing popularity of the BYOD movement, and the ramping up of the mobile workforce requires new ways of thinking and executing communications measures. Having Ingate Systems and eZuce on hand will likely help smooth the road ahead and help companies have the best shot at the great benefits these new movements often bring.
