KKH, a health insurance provider in Germany, has deployed Oracle's Acme Packet (News - Alert) Net-Net Enterprise Session Director. With the increased intricacies of enterprise communication networks, security apprehensions are rising. KKH aims to alleviate risks and enhance customer contact center security and service quality by deploying Oracle’s (News - Alert) Acme Packet solution.
Oracle’s Acme Packet solution will facilitate Session Initiation Protocol, or SIP, trunking services, resulting in considerable decreased operating expenditures. Voice, video and streaming media applications, like desktop sharing and online conferencing are compatible with SIP trunking services.
In a statement, Steffen Ninebuck, network system engineer at KKH said, "Oracle's Acme Packet Net-Net Enterprise Session Director helped us deploy our SIP trunking service by enabling seamless integration with our Cisco (News - Alert) Unified Communications systems and manipulating SIP signaling content as we need it. With Oracle's Acme Packet solution, we took an important step toward creating a more extensible telephony architecture that ensures support for future needs and value-added services, while being more cost efficient than we were with conventional PSTN technology."
With an aim to decrease public switched telephone network or PSTN expenses, KKH was interested in incorporating its contact center with its unified communications infrastructure. The organization also wished to enhance service dexterity and protection for insurance customers utilizing its contact center. KKH has been able to reorganize SIP trunking service implementation with Oracle's Acme Packet Net-Net Enterprise Session Director, which facilitates easy incorporation with the organization’s Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager environment.
An extremely-accessible configuration of Oracle's Acme Packet Net-Net Enterprise Session Director was deployed by KKH for optimizing performance and reliability. Oracle’s Acme Packet solution load-balanced SIP traffic and advantageously rerouted SIP sessions around equipment or network crashes, thereby enhancing contact center service quality. KKH has considerably decreased its operating expenditures by substituting traditional PSTN circuits with a centralized SIP trunking service.
Bhaskar Gorti, senior vice president and general manager at Oracle Communications said, "Businesses around the world are implementing SIP trunking services to reduce operating costs and improve business agility. Oracle's Acme Packet Net-Net Enterprise Session Director lets KKH realize all the benefits of SIP trunking, while maintaining the high service levels customers expect from one of Germany's leading health insurance companies."
