IntelePeer, a provider of on-demand, cloud-based communications, and ShoreTel have been working together lately to provide a better overall communications experience for customers. To begin with, IntelePeer CoreCloud SIP trunking services have been validated as interoperable for use with ShoreTel’s unified communications systems. Alongside this, IntelePeer has joined the ShoreTel Innovation Network.
The ShoreTel Innovation Network aims to leverage ShoreTel’s open architecture to develop hardware, software and services that extend the capabilities of the company’s unified communications solution. In IntelePeer’s case, this relates to providing its SIP trunking connections to ShoreTel channel partners, distributors and business customers. Other members of the Innovation Network include major communications players such as Acme Packet, Dialogic, AT&T, Brocade, AudioCodes, Broadvox, Verizon, Polycom, Telstrat, and many more.
IntelePeer CoreCloud enables the rapid deployment of SIP trunking over existing Internet connections, or through a dedicated connection backed by the company’s technical services team. The service also features expanded security options, namely Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP) encryption, which were introduced recently.
Additionally, IntelePeer offers unified communications bundles with flexible, cost-effective terms and packages meant to be adaptable to each business’s needs.
"We recently joined the IntelePeer Partner Program and decided to implement the SIP solution for our in-house system," said Scott Sego, president of BD Managed Services, a ShoreTel value-added reseller. "Not only was it a fast time to turn-up, it has been a very seamless transaction. During the cut-over to our new SIP service, we were very pleased with the knowledge and willingness to help with everyone we encountered at IntelePeer."
Thanks to its cloud-based peering and federation platform, IntelePeer’s SIP trunking is able to offer seamless connectivity between legacy and next-generation solutions, bringing new, advanced communications features such as HD audio and video to legacy services that normally could not support them. Another benefit of CoreCloud’s hosted distribution is that it can be deployed very quickly — generally in as little as one week.
