Last week, M2M solutions provider Eseye and its VoIP hardware partner Dataflex (News - Alert) Design Communications unveiled their latest business continuity router, dubbed the HERA800, at Broadsoft Connections 2013. The newest entry to the HERA series of enterprise-grade integrated services routers is said to deliver all of the border elements that carriers require today, including VoIP gateway, wire-speed gigabit routing, Wi-Fi, enterprise session border controller, and full M2M and 4G LTE (News - Alert) functionality.

The release of the HERA800 comes roughly five months after that of the HERA600, which was the first product to be released following Eseye’s acquisition of Dataflex. According to the company, the HERA800 takes the promise of the HERA600 to the next level, allowing Eseye and Dataflex carrier partners to deploy e-SBC capability to fully enable SIP trunking services, while providing additional layered security into their business customer voice networks.

“Eseye and Dataflex’s HERA800 router offers service providers an all-in-one future-proof voice and data solution,” said Eseye CEO Julian Hardy in a statement. “Demand for e-SBCs in our current voice markets continues to rise and there couldn't be a better time to present a business continuity router that delivers on every level. Eseye and Dataflex are proving to be a formidable force in M2M and VoIP, providing a complete end-to-end service with full design, deployment and support capabilities.”

The HERA800 platform was built on advanced open standards, as well as high-performance processors and hardware accelerators, enabling business continuity and VPN security when hosting WebRTC video conferencing apps. The business continuity router also comes with firmware upgrades that support third-party vendor equipment such as IP video, SIP phones, serial, telemetry and Zigbee connected devices. It also sports full compliance with TR-069 and BroadWorks device management systems.

“Dataflex has been manufacturing and supplying enterprise grade integrated access devices (IADs) and voice gateways to carriers worldwide for over a decade and through its partnership with Eseye, we can now offer our customers a wider range of applications and services,” said Dataflex CTO Jon Darley. “This latest product launch marks another significant chapter for both companies as we continue to develop world class M2M solutions.”
