Urban Ag Corp announced that B&R Telephone (B&R), an operating unit of its wholly owned subsidiary Green Wire Enterprises, has won an award from Diocese of Corpus Christi, to provide voice and data services and support for Diocese, which has 115 facilities in south Texas.

Under this contract, B&R Telephone will be upgrading their current church buildings in the Corpus Christi area. It will also begin providing voice and data services and support for the Diocese immediately.

The installation and services contract comes a few months after the company signed a similar agreement with a national Dodge dealership to provide voice and data services.

B&R has been awarded a contract to service and maintain all communications equipment for Spohn-Christus, the largest hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. The company will also be installing data and voice lines for the new outlet stores coming to Corpus Christi Bay.

GreenWire, Inc. (GWI), another operating unit of Green Wire Enterprises, is negotiating with the City of Robstown, Texas, to provide a citywide wireless network that would provide services to all city agencies and departments to include police and fire and maintenance departments.

Billy V. Ray, CEO of Urban Ag, said, "Green Wire Enterprises and it operating subsidiaries continue to provide growth and expansion opportunities with existing and new clients. We are thankful for the efforts of each division's management team in building the Company and its shareholder value."

Earlier in August, Green Wire and B&R Telephone (B&R) have been awarded a series of new installation and service agreements.

Some of the customers served by Green Wire Enterprises' operating subsidiaries include telecom customers such as Verizon (News - Alert), Motorola, Alcatel-Lucent, Time Warner and general contractors serving national customers such as Wal-Mart, CVS and Gulf Marine.

Green Wire recently also announced participation in Alcatel-Lucent equipment installations in the Midwest. The company is providing technical and installation crews for Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert) on an ATT/ETTC project.

GWI also signed an agent agreement with AireSpring, a telecommunications carrier in the USA and a provider of next-generation Integrated, SIP/VoIP, Voice, Data, Cloud Hosted IP PBX (News - Alert), MPLS and Conferencing products, to provide high-quality products and services to its current and future customers.

GWI is also negotiating a service and technical agreement with several major national chain stores to install voice and data lines and provide maintenance and service on their communications equipment, the company revealed in August.
