FuzeBox Extends Interoperability with More Video Conferencing Standards

Today's businesses are adopting video conferencing at a disproportionately higher rate than they were ten years ago. To keep up with the demand, the smartest video companies are expanding their interoperability with as many devices and video communications standards as possible to accommodate the communications ecosystem of each business effectively. That means that they can use their current equipment, shielding them from having to make a new capital expenditure when switching over to other services.

FuzeBox has taken a stand on this, making it as simple as possible for its user base to enjoy the use of their current video platforms in conjunction with its unified communications and collaboration service. Another new development in its service also allows IT crews to have more flexibility in working within the FuzeBox environment and making changes to it.

FuzeBox's Telepresence (News - Alert) Connect product, the one that offers interoperability with meeting systems, has already provided interoperability for systems using H.323, SIP, and H.264. Now, with this new update, the product will also have interoperability with H.239 systems. With Telepresence Connect, businesses can connect equipment that they use on a regular basis from companies like Polycom (News - Alert), Teliris, Cisco, and LifeSize in a cost-effective way.

Kevin Young, senior director of communications for FuzeBox, said, “Why is this important? Many of our customers have investments in traditional video conferencing systems and want to continue using them in a cost-effective way as they migrate to Fuze. The Telepresence Connect capability allows them to do just that as they extend Fuze's video, voice, and content collaboration to more desktops, mobile devices, and rooms across their organizations.”

A new administrative console will greet IT staff within the various companies that use FuzeBox with the ability to look at information from user accounts and analyze meeting statistics. Other new administrative functions also include the ability to easily manage packages and the number of licenses in each one.
