Ingate's SIParator Validated as Interoperable with Customer Interaction Center

Ingate Systems has achieved a new milestone for its SIParator Enterprise Session Border Controller (E-SBC) with SIP trunking and Remote SIP Connectivity software modules. In particular, its modules have been validated for interoperability with Interactive Intelligence’s Customer Interaction Center (CIC) all-in-one IP communications software suite.

Incidentally, this news comes shortly after Interactive Intelligence attained interoperability certification of a different kind for CIC. That is to say, the suite is certified for use with Microsoft Lync

Ingate’s interoperability certification with CIC, meanwhile, goes a long way toward forwarding its goal of enabling global SIP and WebRTC-based person-to-person communication. As such, this new development is similar to Ingate’s recent efforts to enable seamless communications with WebRTC over its unified communications or PBX environment.

 “Demand for SIP trunks is growing at a record pace,” said Steven Johnson, president of Ingate Systems, in a statement. “With this validation, Interactive Intelligence resellers can offer SIP trunking solutions that are fully tested with CIC, a tremendous value-add for their customers.”

Ingate SIParator helps enable secure, reliable SIP trunk deployments that facilitate fast, simplified installation by resolving interoperability issues between the various IP-PBX and SIP trunk services on the market. In essence, SIParator helps SIP trunk installations become plug and play. Ingate’s advanced security features also enable enterprise-class security for SIP trunk traffic.

Interactive Intelligence’s CIC, on the other hand, is an integrated communications suite that includes voice, e-mail, fax, video, text chat and SMS. The goal of the suite is quite simple: Eliminate the cost and complexity introduced by multipoint products. Capable of being deployed on premises or in the cloud, CIC offers contact center, unified communications and business process automation functionality designed to improve customer experience.

It’s clear that SIParator and CIC are well matched as both strive to provide communications simplicity for customer, though in different ways. Meanwhile, both Ingate and Interactive Intelligence have been working toward their respective goals for quite some time now as Ingate has been a player in SIP security since 2001, while CIC has been on the market since 1997.
