SIP Trunking Report Week in Review

As usual, it was a busy week for the SIP trunking space. Here’s a look at some of the top moments from the first week of February.

Kicking things off, Ingate Systems (News - Alert) achieved interoperability validation for its SIParator E-SBC SIP trunking and Remote SIP Connectivity software modules from Interactive Intelligence. As such, the modules are now certified for use with Interactive Intelligence’s (News - Alert) Customer Interaction Center. This certification is beneficial for both companies as it allows them to expand their potential customer bases.

Next, RingCentral (News - Alert) deployed its RingCentral Office solution at Dynasplint, providing the company’s distributed workforce with greater flexibility and connectivity. RingCentral Office is a complete telephony solution that includes voice, video and data services, as well as fax, text and conferencing capabilities.

Moving things along, cloud-based communication service provider Voxox acquired PokeTALK this week. PokeTALK mobile communications services on iOS and Android (News - Alert), and it boasted more than 600,000 registered users at the time of the acquisition. These users have been invited to transfer to Voxox, receiving up to 100 minutes of free talk time for their trouble.

In other news, VoIP phone and router maker snom technology appointed Ciaran Bolger as its new U.K. sales manager. Bolger joined snom having previously worked as a business continuity specialist at Adam Continuity. Prior to that, he held a business development position at Electronic Frontier, a distributor of snom products. It is expected that he will drive channel growth in the U.K. VoIP market for snom.

Lastly, TMC (News - Alert) recognized 4PSA, a technology leader in cloud communications software, with the 2014 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award for its VoipNow Cloud OnDemand solution. VoipNow is a cloud offering designed specifically with service providers in mind that integrates software and high-performance infrastructure into one flexible platform. Specifically, it offers enterprise telephony, video, presence, instant messaging, contact center features and mobility.
