consilium1, Frontier Communications to Enhance Communications

consilium1, an information technology consulting services company, has selected Frontier Communications to enhance and streamline communications among its main office and satellite locations.

Frontier Communications Corporation offers broadband, voice, satellite video, wireless Internet data access, data security solutions, bundled offerings, specialized bundles for residential customers, small businesses and home offices and advanced communications for medium and large businesses.

As part of the pact, Frontier has designed a telecommunications system for consilium1 to accommodate current needs and future growth, recognize cost efficiencies, and align with the company’s transformation that leverages traditional IT services with cloud computing.

Besides this a single centralized VoIP system was implemented by Frontier Communications.

The system fully integrates consilium1’s widespread locations, end users, and supports their diverse communications requirements.

“We follow our own advice that we give our customers,” said Tom Thomson (News - Alert), president and CEO, consilium1, in a statement.

Thomson said that technology should enhance productivity and serve as a business enabler – a unified communications strategy is one of the many ways businesses can do that.

“We previously provided consilium1 with our Metro Ethernet services. Our relationship allowed us to address their immediate needs and assess ways they can stay connected, work smarter and better serve customers,” said Phil Yawman, vice president and general manager for Frontier.

Yawman said that the Mitel (News - Alert) solution integrates rich telephony features with advanced applications that are accessible via desktop devices and managed over a web-based embedded system. The system is highly scalable, so it can grow as consilium1 grows.

The versatility of the Mitel VoIP system allows it to support growth without requiring a completely revamped platform.

Thomson said that the two companies’ areas of expertise complement each other well and provide businesses with the end-to-end infrastructure solutions that allow them to focus on core business functions.

Earlier in April, Frontier Communications Corporation had launched Frontier Business Edge, a new brand marketing platform encompassing a full portfolio of commercial products and services for businesses of every size.

Frontier Business Edge account representatives specialize in advising commercial customers on everything from advanced data to voice and video networking solutions to cloud technology and network security, all backed by live, 24/7 technical support and a 100 percent U.S.-based workforce, 11 percent of whom are military veterans, reservists and family members.
