Ooma, Inc., a company that deals in smart home and business communication systems, recently announced that its small business VoIP phone solution Ooma Office is named the winner of PCMag's 2014 VoIP Business Choice award. The solution beat products from companies like Shoretel, Avaya, Cisco and RingCentral (News - Alert) to gain the top spot.
Ooma claims that its solution uses high-speed Internet connection to deliver a high quality yet very affordable business phone system with advanced features typically found in far more expensive options. It blends the ease of do-it-yourself installation with the power of cloud computing to deliver the features and quality of service expected from a business class phone system. The solution is available at prices starting at $9.99 per user per month and $9.99 per phone number per month. It offers unlimited calling throughout the U.S. and Canada.
"Ooma Office is fairly new to market and up against some big-name competitors, yet this award further affirms we've carved out a place at the head of the pack when it comes to customer satisfaction," said Eric Stang, chief executive officer, Ooma, Inc. "We set very high standards for our products, so we're not surprised to see high ratings in the additional categories, including reliability and technical support. We consistently deliver a seamless experience, but at a fraction of the cost customers find with competing services."
Few weeks ago, the company added online fax to Ooma Office. The smart home and business communication systems provider also added call log enhancements to this solution, which is specifically designed for small businesses. The feature was added with an aim to streamline fax handling for small businesses by bundling an online fax feature into Ooma Office. Users can leverage the call log feature to review calling activity for hourly billing of professional service fees. This feature also enables users to keep a log of their faxes and review the information whenever they want to.
