ADTRAN (News - Alert), a provider of networking and communications equipment, recently launched its NetVanta 6360 Carrier Ethernet Customer Edge IP Business Gateway.
The solution is an integrated business gateway designed to support VoIP, bandwidth-rich data and Carrier Ethernet and can enable service providers to enhance their markets. It simplifies IP-based communications through the integration of service provider and enterprise equipment.
“The addition of the NetVanta 6360 to ADTRAN’s market-leading line of IP Business Gateways ensures service providers have the flexible solutions they need to streamline service delivery for their enterprise customers,” Christie Holder, product manager for ADTRAN’s Enterprise Networks Division said in a statement.
“ADTRAN’s comprehensive NetVanta portfolio enables our customers to evolve and grow to meet the demands of today’s communication network. Whether a service provider is looking to deliver business VoIP, residential broadband, Carrier Ethernet or mobile backhaul, ADTRAN has the right solution to support them,” Holder added.
As businesses are transitioning their networks from legacy TDM to IP-based environments, a high level of complexity is created for both the service provider and the enterprise IT team. According to the company, its new NetVanta 6360 simplifies IP Transition with analog or digital gateway capability, as well as combines support for hosted VoIP, Ethernet, SIP trunking, cloud services and WAN access termination on a single IP platform.
The solution reduces infrastructure and operating costs, as well as associated stocking time and training expenses, confirms the company.
ADTRAN’s Board of Directors recently appointed Kathryn Walker as a director whose term will be until the 2015 annual meeting of stockholders.
TMC (News - Alert) recently announced the winners of the 2014 Mobility Tech Zone Product of the Year Awards and ADTRAN’s ProCloud Wi-Fi was among them.
