Comings & Goings: Voxox Appoints New Vice President of System Engineering

Industry expert Shravan Kumar recently joined Voxox, an innovator in unified cloud communication solutions for consumers and businesses, as the new vice president of system engineering.

Kumar holds more than 15 years of experience in legacy and next generation wireless and IP networks.

In his new role, Kumar will be responsible for leading the system engineering team at Voxox. He will be focusing on the company’s key strategic goal in expanding the business by offering Voxox’s solutions to operators and original equipment manufacturer partners.

Official said that Kumar will also be working in close proximity with the product, engineering and marketing teams to enhance Voxox’s existing products and optimize system design solutions.

In a press statement, Kevin Hertz, CTO of Voxox said: “With the success of the Voxox For Operators program, with the growth of our OEM partnership initiatives, we are expanding our technical talent and leadership to stay ahead of what’s in store with these major deployments.” “Shravan’s deep-rooted technical expertise will allow us to ramp up even faster as we continue to grow our distribution networks for our consumer and business products and services.”

Before joining Voxox, Kumar worked at Mavenir Systems for seven years. He helped build various key products; including carrier-grade SBC, IMS core and application servers, as well as virtualized evolved packet core. He has also served in product development and management roles with Sonus, Motorola and Telesoft.

Academically, Kumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
