CounterPath Partners with MegaPath

CounterPath (News - Alert) Corporation, a developer of award-winning desktop, tablet and mobile Unified Communications (UC) products and solutions, and MegaPath, a provider of managed data, voice, security and cloud services in North America, have entered into a partnership to deliver leading unified business VoIP solutions to organizations throughout North America.

As part of the pact, MegaPath (News - Alert) will offer CounterPath Bria desktop, tablet and mobile UC solutions through its expansive direct sales channel and partner channel, which includes individual IT consultants, solution providers, value-added resellers and Master Agents.

Officials with MegaPath said that the company will leverage CounterPath's entire Bria product line to offer cost-effective, feature-rich, desktop, tablet and mobile OTT (over-the-top) UC solutions that are easily managed.

“As the workforce continues to become increasingly mobile, it is essential for organizations of all sizes to provide employees with access to reliable, interoperable solutions that enable them to stay connected, regardless of their size or location,” said Dan Foster (News - Alert), president, MegaPath, in a statement.

Foster said that CounterPath's Bria has met all the company’s expectations for a product that fulfills the needs of the customers and their end users who, ultimately, want to increase productivity in a way that is secure and cost-effective.

Todd Carothers, EVP of marketing and products at CounterPath said that CounterPath solutions have been developed not only to meet the need for enterprise-specific features but to also cater to the rise of the enterprise consumer who is used to being able to access apps and services through app stores and experience plug-and-play convenience, and looking for those same options from his enterprise communications provider.

Earlier in March, - CounterPath Corporation had announced the immediate availability of Bria Cloud Solution suite, a radical new way of providing a fully provisioned and unified communication solution for small and medium businesses.

A subscription-based offering, Bria Cloud Solutions enables IT managers to easily deploy, manage and provision softphone clients across all desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
