CudaTel Completes Successful Interoperability Testing of VoIP/SIP with Flowroute

Today, there are many SMBs opting to use VOIP, rather than sticking with traditional phone systems to reduce their monthly phone bill expenses. Those that move their legacy PBX (News - Alert) and phones to an all-IP environment (for Internet telephony) can benefit from cost savings of up to 50 percent. A SIP trunk can connect directly to an Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Service Provider (ITSP), enabling one to extend VoIP telephony beyond the organization’s firewall, without the need for an IP-PSTN gateway with attendant cost and complexity.

When a business does opt to replace its old PBX system to adopt an IP PBX system (to run a PBX in-house for VoIP), it is key to find a SIP trunk provided by an ITSP or VoIP service provider that can deliver reliable services with quality customer support. In addition to savings, VoIP offers a variety of additional features not available with more traditional telecommunications services: automatic call rerouting to pre-defined locations, support for remote employees, advanced reporting, and scalability are just some examples.

CudaTel, a provider of next-generation phone systems for businesses that includes Voice over IP (VoIP) PBX services, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barracuda Networks (News - Alert), Inc., announced yesterday in a Yahoo! Finance post, that it has completed interoperability testing and certification of CudaTel’s communications platform with Flowroute business VoIP service. Flowroute LLC was chosen for Internet telephony needs to embrace the full potential of SIP trunking and VoIP services.

As part of the interoperability certification process, CudaTel's Communications Servers, which are compatible with any SIP device and provider and can be pre-configured for use with both analog and digital telephone networks for next-generation voice and video, started using the Flowroute SIP trunking to provide reliable, feature-rich VoIP services. Nicholas Belluni, CudaTel Product Manager, said that the company selected Flowroute as a preferred provider based on the consistent service and quality VoIP features they offer their customers, as well as reliable high-definition voice and video telephony.

Flowroute’s carrier quality of SIP trunking will provide an easy-to-use, affordable, next generation phone system solution for businesses with detailed routing intelligence. The virtual communications carrier offers needed redundancy to ensure connection reliability, as well as the account dashboard features necessary for CudaTel to still maintain control of tracking, advanced phone number management, and billing.

It will not only be CudaTel who benefits from this partnership. According to Sean Hsieh, Flowroute founder and Chief Growth Officer, “Interoperability with CudaTel [also] benefits Flowroute by ensuring compatibility with a forward-thinking company in the ICT space [to] provide customers with full assurance in an on-premise solution for enterprises."

Flowroute is participating in CudaTel's 30-day trial, offering an SIP trunking service for no additional charge for all qualifying new CudaTel installations.
