Vonage (News - Alert) Holding Corporation is a communications services provider, connecting consumers and businesses through cloud-connected devices worldwide. Now, the company has appointed Naveen Chopra as its newest member of its Board of Directors. Chopra’s long history of experience in the industry will add a new layer of knowledge and insight to Vonage as a whole.
With financial and accounting experience in a number of technology companies, as well as a deep knowledge of corporate strategy and development, Chopra has all the tools to be a successful member of the Vonage Board. A graduate of Stanford, with an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, his past work experience includes Moxi Digital and Microsoft. He is currently the chief financial officer and senior vice president of corporate development and strategy at TiVo (News - Alert), Inc., a provider of next-generation television and cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions. Chopra is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting and financial reporting, as well as managing its strategic initiatives. Since his arrival at TiVo in 2003, he has played a key role in transforming it from purely a consumer electronics company into a leading SaaS (News - Alert) provider.
"We are excited to have Naveen join our Board. His depth of financial, accounting and strategic experience in the technology industry, as well as his extensive international experience, make him a valuable addition to the Board," said Vonage Chief Executive Officer Marc Lefar (News - Alert), in a recent statement.
Chopra is poised to be a great help to Vonage’s endeavors in the communications industry, and his past experience will hopefully lend to future success.
