LiveCom Selects iDirect Evolution

Satellite based-services such as VoIP, video conferencing, streaming media and data backup have been attracting government and private customers in the last few years. This is mainly because of the recent developments in the technology and its declining costs. Additionally, companies have realized the benefits of this technology and hence, there is more acceptability to this technology than ever before.

Looking to help its customers in expanding their markets, LiveCom Limited, a Hong Kong based ISP has selected Evolution platform from iDirect (News - Alert) Asia Pte Ltd. iDirect provides satellite-based IP communications technology all over the world.

Livecom provides carrier-class & enterprise-class ICT solutions and services for telecom carriers and multinational companies. Services provided include IDD/SMS wholesale, satellite-based bandwidth, ISMS and data service. The company says it realized the need to assist its customers in expanding their marketplaces to other parts of Asia and hence, signed an agreement with iDirect Asia.

iDirect brings together a host of hardware, software and services to deliver its satellite communications platform. Named Intelligent platform, this platform brings together innovative technology and intelligent routing to enhance the network performance and help customers in improving their bandwidth, location, satellite frequency, topology or application.

iDirect’s products are in demand from customers. In 2012, Elara Comunicaciones, a Mexico-based satellite service provider, selected iDirect’s SatManage network management system to provide improved network monitoring functionality for its customers. It also provides the customers with the ability to have improved visibility in their networks.
