SIP Trunking, UC&C Changing the Face of Enterprise Communications

The term “enterprise communications” includes a vast array of technologies. From messaging services and event notifications to VoIP, audio and video conferencing, people are using all kinds of technological mediums to connect in today’s rapidly expanding business landscape. And while the communications technologies themselves are diverse and constantly evolving, it’s important to keep in mind the systems that work behind the scenes to make all these tools possible. One such system is Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert), otherwise known as SIP.

Essentially, SIP is what enables person-to-person IP communications by initiating call setup, routing, authentication and other feature messages to endpoints within an IP domain. The SIP protocol allows for users of different service providers to communicate with each other, which is especially important for business relations—international or otherwise—that demand companies eliminate as many barriers as possible to keep communications flowing freely. Using SIP, IP telephony becomes as easy to use as any other Web application and integrates easily into other Internet services.

Tadiran (News - Alert) Telecom, a global provider of unified communications and collaboration (UC&C), contact center, and control room solutions for the enterprise sector, recently announced that it has selected the Ingate SIParator to support its software-based UC&C platform, Aeonix.

"Aeonix customers will greatly benefit from Ingate’s advanced integration technology," said Eldad Barak, Tadiran Telecom’s president and CEO, upon announcing the agreement.

With a history in security, Ingate Systems (News - Alert) offers small-to-large enterprises, service providers and carriers throughout Europe, Asia and North America elegant solutions for SIP trunking and real-time communications. The Ingate SIParator E-SBC is delivered either as a software system or as hardware solution platform, both of which are fully certified to work with Aeonix UC&C. Aeonix consolidates disparate business applications into a single powerful platform, delivered on a fault tolerant and open architecture using intuitive management tools, deployed either in a private cloud environment or as an on-premises solution. For businesses looking to streamline their communications and facilitate fast response times to customers, clients and partners, Aeonix is a powerful option.

SIP and UC technologies—like those from Ingate and Tadiran—are on the forefront of the business tech world, and as such are gaining lots of attention worldwide. This week, Ingate will be hosting a free, three-day educational seminar series at ITEXPO (News - Alert), the SIP Trunking, UC and WebRTC Seminars, to discuss what taking shape in the space today, as well as what is on the horizon—as seen through the eyes of industry experts. Ingate’s president, Steven Johnson, and chairman and CTO Karl Stahl (News - Alert) will be speaking during the seminars, as well as Tadiran’s vice president of product management, Lindsay Kintner.

While UC&C platforms like Aeonix and SIP technologies are changing the face of real-time communications today, many questions still remain regarding what effect they will have on enterprises, end-users and service providers. Find out what Tadiran, Ingate and other thought leaders are saying this week when they weigh in during the SIP Trunking, UC and WebRTC Seminars, August 11-14 at The Rio in Las Vegas.
