CounterPath Empowers Enterprises and Operators with Stretto Platform

Industry analysts have predicted that enterprises are likely to spend over $15 billion on network equipment in 2014, while operators are likely to spend over $80 billion. CounterPath Corporation, a developer of SIP-based softphones, server applications and Fixed Mobile Convergence (News - Alert) solutions, is set to capitalize on these enormous opportunities and has unveiled its new comprehensive server architecture- the Stretto Platform.

Specifically aimed at enterprises and operators, the newly launched platform helps to build flexible solutions that can meet specific communication and deployment requirements and reduce hardware costs.

Stretto acts as a single platform to efficiently manage and enhance communications. Moreover, when combined the CounterPath’s (News - Alert) Bria product suite, Stretto improves productivity and reduces operating costs.

 Built on SIP and open standards, Bria allows its users to make VoIP and Video calls over IP, send Instant Messages and transfer files easily and efficiently.

Stretto is built based on CounterPath's CCS and NCG server technology. The Platform comes with various modules including; Provisioning Module, Push Notification Module, Contact Discovery Module, Call & Message Continuity Module, XMPP Messaging & Presence Module.
