Orange Business Services Creates Hybrid Network

Orange (News - Alert) Business Services has announced that it is extending its Business VPN services with Business VPN internet. This extension of its services has been implemented to meet the growing need from multinational corporations for high-performance and secure access to internet-based cloud services.

The global IT and communications provider offers services in 220 countries and helps companies collaborate effectively and efficiently, connect better with customers and unites people, sites and machines reliably.

Business VPN internet is a very important aspect of the Orange Business Services (News - Alert) Hybrid network strategy. Utilizing Business VPN internet, it creates a stronger and secure business-class internet, which helps improve performance throughout the entire network. It also takes away the risk of traffic on the IP VPN and reduces the risk of internet access latency and makes business traffic a priority.

To improve internet performance and enhance security, Orange Business Services has invested in fifteen global internet gateways on five continents. In order to cut out traffic and increase speed, the distributed gateways are needed to remove the latency caused by the long physical distances between the user, the gateway and the destination web site. This new addition allows for worldwide access, global security, geolocalization and application prioritization. Another important aspect is the pricing-the solution is available with no additional cost for customers.

The need to incorporate internet and VPN cohesively led the company to combine the best features of tradition IP VPN and the internet in its Hybrid Network. This new idea is built on three main points, distributed Internet breakout, internet offload and cloud interconnection.

Pierre-Louis Biaggi, head of the Network Solutions (News - Alert) Business Unit, commented on the hybrid network: “By seamlessly integrating secure Internet and cloud services into our core network, we are able to support new ways of working and deliver the best possible end-user experience,” he stated, “Ultimately, Hybrid Networks as we conceive them at Orange Business Services, help drive the move toward digital transformation by supporting the new generation of Internet-based services.”
