Business telecommunications provider MegaPath, which offers a full range of managed voice, data, security and hosted IT solutions for businesses of all sizes around the nation, has been named the winner of the INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award by TMC (News - Alert) for the fourth year in a row.
The award recognizes products that possess innovative features that both advance and have a positive impact on the communications industry.
This year's award honors MegaPath (News - Alert)'s Hosted Voice, a product that provides organizations with more functionality than traditional phone systems as all companies can benefit from its offerings regardless of the its size and experience better productivity without the expense and maintenance of a PBX (News - Alert).
Users of Hosted Voice have access to more than 50 different calling features such as visual voicemail, conferencing, mobile integration and call recording. The MegaPath network also provides customers with one of the highest levels of reliability in the industry and allows companies to prioritize voice traffic end-to-end and guarantees Quality of Service due to the fact that it controls traffic on a private, nationwide IP data network.
Additionally, the company recently developed a Unified Communications (News - Alert) solution for Hosted Voice to further enhance the value that customers can achieve with the product. MegaPath's IP voice telephony capabilities can be integrated with enhanced collaboration features including screen sharing, instant messaging, video conferencing and SMS text messaging. This enables businesses to operate more efficiently and employees have work from any location with the use of their business VoIP number.
In a statement, MegaPath President Dan Foster (News - Alert) said that the award "further confirms MegaPath as an industry leader, delivering high-quality solutions that improve and simplify the way businesses operate." He went on to say that his company is always seeking ways to extend the value customers receive from its solutions, such as through the new UC service and by being the first service provider in the VoIP industry to offer an installation service backed by a seven-day install SLA.
