ABP (News - Alert) Tech is a specialty distributor, which sells and markets IP technology solutions through channel partners. It focuses exclusively on IP technology solutions, and the company prides itself on focusing on “best of breed" products, which promise to make business partners more profitable and competitive in the marketplace.
During ITEXPO (News - Alert) Las Vegas, several company officials showed some of their popular products to TMC’s Jennifer Terentiuk. They explained, too, why they are successful in the competitive market.
“We hand pick products,” Kurt D. Dow, vice president of sales for ABP Tech, said in the interview. “We test those products and we can become experts on those products so we can provide [a] first level of support on all the products that we sell.”
He said there was a lot of interest from attendees at ITEXPO, especially among integrators and resellers, in their unique products, such as cameras and phone systems.
“The traffic has been really, really good,” he added.
Among the popular cameras this year is the DrayTek Vigor 2925n plus model. It has concurrent dual-band (2.4G/5G), which lets sensitive applications use the band with less interference.
In addition, Robert Messer (News - Alert), president of ABP Tech, showed off a new INCOM Wi-Fi phone that is being used to replace cordless phones. It is ideal for service providers and home users, and because it can work in any environment, it should be popular with select businesses.
“The ICW-1000 is great for many different vertical markets like retail, hospitals, car dealerships, restaurants, etc.,” the company explained in a recent newsletter. “This option is also very convenient for telecommuting or working from home during bad weather conditions at the office.”
And the company’s technical director, Henry Castilla, said that DrayTek routers were popular at the ITEXPO show, too. They are destination routers.
Overall, ABP Tech’s product portfolio includes solutions for IP network infrastructure, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), video conferencing, video surveillance, security, Wi-Fi and digital signage.
