Internet telephony service providers (ISTPs) today are facing increasing demand for IP-based communication systems and equipment from customers. IP telephony serves as an incredibly cost effective and feature-rich alternative to traditional wireline phone services, and is just as user-friendly. While IP phones have been a growing standard in business offices today, digital enhanced cordless technology (DECT (News - Alert)) phones are now rising in the ranks. These phones allow for wireless telephone access within a workplace, so that employees are not tethered to their desks when making or receiving calls.

Today while exhibiting at ITEXPO Miami, Telinta—a white label hosted softswitch solutions provider for ITSPs—announced that it has teamed up with Uniden (News - Alert) America Corporation, the North American subsidiary of Japan-based Uniden Corporation, to streamline large deployments of Uniden’s DECT IP phones, including the EXP1240 series of SIP DECT phones.

“ITSPs can meet the needs of even the most demanding customers with speed and efficiency of Telinta’s cloud-based platform,” said Brett Morrison, vice president of Uniden. “Uniden partners with leading companies such as Telinta to offer cutting-edge solutions to our ITSP customers.”

Telinta is an expert in providing smart solutions for ITSPs, having developed what it calls Auto-Provisioning Profiles, which are standard in Telinta’s TeliCoreTM switching, billing and customer management platform. They enable ITSPs to cost-effectively provision any number of IP phones without the need for manual configuration, making them easy to deploy in any workplace. ITSPs have the flexibility to create their own inventory of Uniden IP phones, and with Telinta’s cloud-based switching and billing platform, they can deploy IP phones from their existing platform using an intuitive Web interface.

“With our auto-provisioning profiles, ITSPs can reap the benefits of Telinta’s cloud-based switching and billing solutions,” said Alex Ferdman, CEO of Telinta. “Uniden’s high-quality IP phones, deployed with Telinta’s automated provisioning solution, can cut deployment time and costs, while improving customer satisfaction.”

The deal will enable ITSPs to take full advantage of IP DECT phone technology with the ease of use Telinta’s cloud-based platform provides, making the deal a powerful one for both companies—and an enticing one for ITSP customers.

It has been a busy week for Telinta at ITEXPO Miami. On top of the major deal announcement with Uniden, Telinta’s Anthony Stiso moderated a engaging panel discussion titled “Innovative Mobile Solutions for Global Communications” on Tuesday, and event attendees have the opportunity to learn more about the company’s offerings by visiting its team at Booth 423.
