Phil Bowers, Global Marketing Communications Manager at Grandstream Networks (News - Alert), sat down with TMC at the recently concluded ITEXPO and talked about the exciting things that happened for the company in 2014 and upcoming innovations.

The company’s biggest strength over the last year came as they branched out into different areas allowing the company to be a truly complete communications solutions provider.

A few years ago, the company released its UCM6100 series line of IP-PBXs for SMBs and last year expanded on that success for enterprises by releasing version UCM6510 for enterprises which goes up to 2000 users and 200 concurrent calls.

For business customers, the UCM6510 series IP PBX (News - Alert) helps improve productivity while enhancing customer service by bringing together voice, data, video and mobility apps. Along with low capital investment, no licensing/recurring fees and zero-configuration provisioning, make the offering a great on-premises option for business customers need in a UC solution.

Last month, the UCM6510 IP PBX Appliance was awarded the 2015 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year recognizing it as among the best communications and technology solutions on the market.

Probably one of the bigger headlines the company made last year included the introduction of Android (News - Alert) video enabled phones, the GXV IP Video Phones for Android, these, Bowers said, have seen a lot of traction. Especially as BYOD picks up in the market, being able to fully take advantage of the array of business applications in the Google (News - Alert) Play store is an advantage Grandstream believes is both unique and important.

So what’s in store for 2015? Bowers teased that there is a whole new product category the company will be stepping into and is excited to share details about soon.
