The IT ecosystem consists of suppliers and users coexisting with mutual dependency in order to survive. Alliances, channels and partnerships are formed with a network to bring everyone together and improve the development of customer, employee and vendor activities. Forming the right relationship not only allows high-tech companies to penetrate new markets and form new customer relationships, but it lets them focus on their core competencies. Digium (News - Alert), provider of enterprise-class Unified Communications (UC) and UC as a Service (UCaaS) solutions, and creator of Asterisk software, is recognizing its channel partners with its annual Pinnacle Awards.

The success of many IT companies has been attributed to strong channel partners opening new markets and increasing sales which otherwise would have not been achieved. Understanding the value and the role they play in an organization is essential for the continued success of any company.

The Digium Pinnacle Awards recognizes outstanding channel partners that have excelled in providing communication solutions along with superior customer service around the world. The company makes the selection based on annual sales as well as the commitment the partners make in delivering customer satisfaction.

“Each year, it's an honor to recognize so many of our channel partners who have committed to servicing their customers and growing their businesses with Digium solutions,” said Jim Butler, director of worldwide channel sales for Digium.

Partners are certified to sell the company’s products and services, including UC and VoIP business phone solutions, Asterisk (News - Alert) hardware, IP phones, gateways, telephony interface cards and redundancy appliances. Based on a comprehensive assessment on how they deliver the solutions to customers, as well as their achievement levels of qualification and certification in its channel partner program, Digium selects the outstanding performers.

The awards were presented to the Pinnacle Circle of Excellence companies comprised of the top 25 value added reseller (VAR) partners globally, representing the highest revenue generators. Some of the companies include: Chromis Technology, LLC; Max-IS Inc; NetWorks, Inc; AVENCALL; KME Systems, Inc.; and others. A complete list of the companies that have received the award are on Digium’s site.

The partner program is designed to give resellers a competitive advantage in today’s IP communications market. It has features with levels geared toward enhancing the capabilities and business model of each partner with training, promotions, incentives and benefits to help them succeed in their sector.

For companies in the IT industry, channel partners have to be recognized and engaged like any other constituent in an organization. The right resources have to be invested into ensuring they thrive. Failure to do so will result in partners that don’t perform well, which will translate to lower sales and fewer market shares around the world.
