Telnet VoIP, a provider of telephone, security, and access control systems for enterprises, recently announced that it will join Mitel (News - Alert) as a certified sales agent to the National Joint Powers Alliance.

Telnet has offered a number of Mitel business communications products for nearly a decade and a half in California, and now it will have the chance to offer those products to government, educational, and non-profit organizations that are part of the municipal contracting agency that is the NJPA. On behalf of that agency, the NJPA Spokesperson and Director of Contacts and Marketing Mike Hajek, commented that Telnet and Mitel products can fulfill a collective need of its members.

“The Mitel products associated with the knowledge and services offering from Telenet VoIP are needed by our members,” Hajek repeated. “Mitel and Telenet VoIP have demonstrated the type of commitment that will ensure a successful contract solution for our members.”

Mitel announced near the end of summer in 2014 that it received an NJPA contract for the second time. In August, TMC (News - Alert) noted that the NJPA served more than 50,000 member agencies in the U.S. and that, as of the granting of that contract, they would have access to Mitel products. Its own website says it dedicates itself to efficient public service through the technological access it awards those agencies throughout the nation.

Mitel noted that the contract award last year would give it access to the network of members and allow it to work closely with them. Likewise, Telnet should be able to continue that mission of efficient service with its communications packages and knowledge of infrastructure installation. It will be able to better serve clients in Southern California with its partnership with the NJPA and should jointly expand its reach while also improving the communications capabilities of a number of new customers.
