The results of interoperability testing can be some of the greatest bits of news As they represent new opportunity for both users of certain technologies and for the technologies' creators as well. One such item emerged as 3CX and G12 Communications recently concluded interoperability testing and, following the successful conclusion, established a partnership to help bring each company's technology into new markets.

According to reports, the partnership calls for G12 Communications to begin offering its complete session initiation protocol (SIP) trunking solution to 3CX's various channel partners, bringing the technology to a wide array of companies. G12 is already well-known in the field for offering a wide variety of voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) options, and with the new partnership comes several new IP telephony options to 3CX's operations.

Meanwhile, representatives of both sides of the deal offered up some comment, and both sides seemed quite happy with the arrangement. First, 3CX's regional sales manager Kyle Asbury commented, saying “The success of the interoperability testing with G12 Communications is great news for 3CX customers. We are confident that G12 Communications will provide a high quality service and compliment our growing network of US-based VoIP providers.” G12 Communications' CEO, Rick Coma, followed suit, saying “We look forward to partnering with 3CX and providing a high-quality enterprise-grade SIP trunking solution to their customers. We understand how important voice communication services are to businesses and this partnership will provide the end-to-end quality and reliability that business customers expect.”

As the comments suggest, this is indeed a great deal for both sides. 3CX was already widely-known for its private branch exchange (PBX (News - Alert)) system, the 3CX Phone System, recently adopted by Wilson Sporting Goods after it moved away from Avaya (News - Alert)'s system. Now with the partnership with G12 Communications, it can offer up an even wider array of services to help companies keep up with the best in communications technologies. G12, meanwhile, gets to take advantage of 3CX's impressive name recognition and user base, allowing its services to be brought into a wider sphere of use. G12 gets access to new markets, and 3CX gets to bring out powerful new tools to augment its own name recognition in the field.

It's hard to consider such a partnership anything but a win-win setup. After all, G12 gets to move in whole new circles and enhance its bottom line while 3CX gets to improve its own image in the eyes of current customers by being the “miracle workers” who seem to always have just the answer for any communications problem a client firm might be facing. It's hard not to see the value in such a setup, and the new G12 Communications/3CX partnership should go a long way toward doing well for not only the partnership, but for its various clients who benefit as well.
