Getting rid of the communications hardware systems installed on site eliminates many of the problems associated with traditional PSTN setups. This is one of the reasons IP telephony is becoming the preferred solution for consumers and organizations alike. With minimal investment, it is possible to access services which in the past only large enterprises could afford. Running a business over IP now only requires Internet connectivity, which is available almost everywhere. However, with data becoming part of the way we communicate, the separate transmission of voice and data was showing its limitations, which is why VoIP SIP is quickly becoming the preferred standard. SolveForce, provider of telecommunication services, has announced it is making the process of finding VoIP SIP services much easier for its customers in New York by expanding in the city.

Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) is an application layer protocol that initiates, modifies and terminates an interactive user session such as video, voice, instant messaging, online games and more. Basically it is the system that brings together the resources used to send and receive data files over the Internet, which provides greater interoperability between SIP-based service providers. The system requires less infrastructure, hardware and personnel to maintain and run it.

The service SolveForce provides will give customers in New York City a free online service to perform unbiased VoIP SIP research. According to the company, there is a growing demand for VoIP SIP business services in New York and finding the right provider can be challenging.

The company claims the solution it provides is the world's only real-time online VoIP SIP tool designed to give its users the resources for finding the best service at the best possible price. The company’s site first lets the user choose the best VoIP SIP plan for their particular needs, and this is followed up by a real person who will confirm the request and start providing options for the service.

Internet telephony will eventually replace PSTN as more digital services become part of the communications process. Regulators, service providers, individual consumers and organizations are all on board with full and partial adoption of IP telephony. The recent announcement by the FCC (News - Alert) to give VoIP providers direct access to phone numbers from numbering administrator is one more nail in the coffin of PSTN. The rest will come in the form of value added services customers can’t live without as VoIP SIP becomes more available.
