Tech manufacturers StentofonBaudisch and Grandstream Networks (News - Alert) are teaming up to combine the power of IP door cameras and video surveillance.

StentofonBaudisch will offer its SIP Video Door Station for integration with the Grandstream GXV3200 IP video phones to allow building tenants to open any door connected to the system. Tenants can push a button in the Grandstream app and have it open any door connected to the StentofonBaudisch system. David Li (News - Alert), the CEO of Grandstream, spoke in his company's announcement about the combination of these two products.

“With building automation and facility/door access solutions becoming incredibly popular and useful, it is important for us to offer our partners and resellers a variety of door access solutions that are interoperable with our IP video phones,” Li said. “Our certification with StentofonBaudisch offers customers throughout the world robust SIP video door stations that have been extensively tested with Grandstream IP video phones. The result is a seamless and easy to install solution that increases building security while adding a state-of-the-art door solution.”

The Grandstream phones can complete and receive calls with HD audio and video and have several features which could help tenants know who wants to enter their buildings. Not only will a clear picture help with identification, a preview function can display a video feed before a call is answered. The phones run the Android operating system and therefore have access to the apps available in the Google (News - Alert) Play store. Combined with Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth, Gigabit ports, and HDMI output, both consumers and businesses can make use of these powerful machines.

StentofonBaudisch offers a door station that includes several buttons for operation, an IP camera for connection with networked video feeds, and of course compatibility with third-party devices such as the Grandstream phones. The company notes that it often reaches commercial businesses with its products that are meant to be functional but not interfere with the layout or desired look of a building.
