With minimal startup costs and easy setup, it’s easy to see why hosted VoIP appeals to small businesses. Callagenix is attempting to make it even easier for small businesses to migrate with its own hosted VoIP service.

"With the right VoIP company, small businesses can get all the numbers and services they'll ever need, at a fraction of the price of a traditional system. This allows firms to remain agile, quickly able to act on new opportunities, and easily scale up as the business grows,” Tony Jenkins, a spokesperson for Callagenix, said. "Every small business is different, but with Callagenix's wide range of numbers and services, business owners can create the perfect phone service to help their business grow."

The company is launching a series of small business plans. Callagenix is selling its services based on flexibility. Customers can choose from U.K. numbers (where Callagenix is based) or international numbers. They can also choose a number of other features such as fax, voice mail, and a virtual switchboard, among others. Customers can also port their existing numbers to the new service, as well as send calls to different devices.

The company is confident enough that prospective customers will like the service so much that it lets them try out their setup for free before committing.

"Our services are easy to set up and use, and individuals can edit them at any time to adapt to changing requirements. But, perhaps the greatest advantage is the system is hosted, so businesses aren't required to buy any expensive hardware, as everything is handled by us,” Jenkins said.

Smaller businesses often lack the specialized IT staff to install major PBX (News - Alert) systems, so hosted systems are a viable alternative to on-premises PBXs. Cloud VoIP systems also avoid the time-consuming installation process of on-premises VoIP systems.
