Even if a company markets the services it provides in many different channels, it doesn’t mean it will necessarily reach all of its potential customer base. As the number of providers in the same segment continues to increase, it becomes that much harder to get a larger market share. That is why it is essential to form the right partnerships with companies that can push your particular product or services. A new arrangement between WOW! Business and Venture Group Enterprises will see the former reaching a Master Agent agreement with the latter to increase the collaborative environment between telecommunications agents and carriers.

Established in 1992, the VentureGroup (VG) had a value proposition that would bring the telecommunications agent and the carrier community together in an environment they could collaborate and do business in together. The automated back-end system and associated processes it created was designed to be scalable for easy interaction between both parties.

Beyond a large nationwide network of agents to sell services through automated quoting and ordering systems, the carrier solutions VG offers include: total outsourcing, out-of-court services, consulting services, marketing and product development, private label program services and wholesale consulting.

“VentureGroup is excited to partner with WOW! Business, a dynamic service provider that is recognized across the country for its ability to deliver quality services tailored to each customer's needs,” said Doug Turpin, CEO, of VentureGroup. “We are confident that through this agreement we provide an environment that will maximize the effectiveness of Agent partners, bringing significant growth to both companies.”

What WOW! brings is its IP-based network, data, voice and cloud services for small and mid-sized business, enterprise, government and wholesale customers across many different industries. As an operator of more than 40,000 miles of local fiber-optic and coaxial networks in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest as well as its data centers, the company delivers scalable, low-latency access to national carrier backbones. This includes: connecting critical applications, cloud integration, optimizing telecom and IT costs, simplifying data storage and recovery, and more.

In addition to the backend services, it also provides solutions to end-users that are essential in today’s business environment—some of which are business Internet, hosted voice, voice trunking, IaaS and hosting, backup and recovery, data center and colocation, cable TV and digital music.

“This agreement promotes growth and enhances the ability of WOW! Business to continue to exceed the demands of our customers in our service areas,” said Ken Worcester, vice president of channel sales and the indirect channel chief for WOW! Business. “VentureGroup will provide robust support for our internal processes allowing us to continue our focus on unparalleled customer service.”
